Coach Mike's comments:

Dakota College at Bottineau played host to a sub-region XIII softball tournament following the regular season.  The Ladyjacks, North Dakota State College of Science and Century College (St. Paul, MN) were involved in a 3-team double elimination tournament with the winner advancing to the Region XIII tournament held at Rochester, MN.  DC-B and NDSCS opened the two day event.  The Ladyjacks destroyed the Wildcats 29-1 behind a 30 hit offensive attack & 5 hit pitching from Bethany Colman.  Every starter had at least 3 hits for the green and white.  Jess Carson, who had four hits in the game, had two home runs and drove in 7 runs.  Colman and Taylor Gauss had 4 hits as well.  Heidi Riley was 3 for 6 with 3 runs scored, 3 runs batted in and a home run.

Coach Mike's comments:

DCB made it two wins in a the opening round by defeating Century College 8-4.  Taylor Glass allowed 8 hits and 1 earned run in 7 innings to pic up the victory.  Bottineau scored their 8 runs on 14 hits.  Riley led the offense going 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored.  All 3 of her hits were doubles.  Colman, Kathrin jetty, and Carson added 3 hits apiece.
