The Ladyjacks wound up the 2013-14 season taking 3rd place in the Region XIII Tournament played in Rochester, MN. DCB defeated St. Cloud Technical College 6-5 in thir opening game before falling to eventual winner, Rochester CC 6-5 in 8 innings & Riverland CC 5-2. In the opening game the Ladyjacks jumped out to a 5-1 lead, scoring a pair of 1st inning runs and adding 3 more in the 3rd. St. Cloud closed the gap to 5-3 in the 4th and 6-5 with two more runs in the 6th. Winning pitcher, Gibson worked out of a jam in the top of the 7th, stranding 2 runners. Jess Carson hit a three run home run to lead the offense. Carson and Riley had 2 hits each.

Coach Mike's comments:
In the second game, DCB held a 3-1 lead going into the 6th inning. Two errors and 4 unearned runs gave Rochester a 5-3 lead. Dariann Freer opened the7th with a single and later scored when Riley hit a 2-out home run to tie the game. DCB stranded 2 base runners in the top half of the 8th. Rochester picked up the win scoring on a 1-out sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning. Riley scored 3 of Bottineau's runs. She had a double and a home run, driving in 2 runs.
